Delivery Policy

1. Delivery Overview

Original Gifts ZA delivers nationwide within South Africa using trusted courier partners, including:

  • DPD Laser

All orders are shipped directly to your door.


2. Delivery Charges

We offer a simple and transparent delivery structure:

  • Flat rate delivery: R85 on all orders
  • Free delivery: On all orders over R500

Delivery costs are calculated automatically at checkout.

We reserve the right to contact you should your delivery address fall within a remote or outlying area that may require an additional surcharge. In such cases, you will be notified before your order is dispatched.


3. Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days after payment has been successfully received.

Please note:

  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day
  • During high-volume periods (such as seasonal promotions or holidays), processing times may be slightly extended

4. Delivery Timeframes

Once your order has been dispatched, estimated delivery times are as follows:

  • Major metropolitan areas: 2–4 business days
  • Regional areas: 3–7 business days
  • Remote or outlying areas: up to 7–10 business days

These timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on your location and courier operations.


5. Dispatch and Tracking

Once your order has been handed over to the courier:

  • You may receive a tracking number (where applicable)
  • You can track your delivery directly via the courier’s website

Please allow a short period for tracking updates to reflect after dispatch.


6. Delivery Requirements

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete delivery information
  • Ensuring someone is available to receive the parcel at the delivery address

If delivery cannot be completed due to:

  • Incorrect address details
  • No one available to receive the parcel

The parcel may be returned to us, and additional delivery charges may apply for re-dispatch.


7. Delivery Delays

While we aim to meet all estimated delivery timeframes, delays may occur due to:

  • Courier service disruptions
  • Weather conditions
  • Public holidays
  • High order volumes
  • Events beyond our control

Original Gifts ZA will not be held liable for delays once the parcel has been handed over to the courier, but we will assist in tracking and resolving delivery issues where possible.


8. Risk and Ownership

Risk in the goods passes to you once the order has been handed over to the courier.

Ownership of goods remains with Original Gifts ZA until full payment has been received.


9. Important Notes

  • We are an online store and do not offer collection from our premises
  • All orders are dispatched from our fulfilment location in Durban South Africa
  • We currently do not offer international shipping

10. Damaged or Incorrect Deliveries

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If your order:

  • Arrives damaged
  • Is incomplete
  • Contains incorrect items

We will investigate and resolve the issue in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
